Website Audits & Issues

How to mark an issue as fixed

There's no manual dismiss button — fix the underlying problem on your site, then re-run the audit. Once a check comes back healthy, it drops off the Issues list automatically.

SearchVitals doesn't have a manual "mark as resolved" or "ignore" button for issues — and that's intentional. An issue reflects the real, current state of your site, not a to-do list you check off by hand.

To clear an issue:

  1. Fix the underlying problem on your website (for example, remove a stray Disallow: / in robots.txt, or add a missing canonical tag).
  2. Re-run the audit — either the full audit, or just the relevant check type (crawl or Search Console) if you only need to re-verify one side.
  3. Once the check comes back healthy or notice, it automatically disappears from the Issues page.

You'll also see it reflected on the website's Overview page, where it's labeled Resolved in the comparison against your previous audit — along with how much your overall health score improved as a result.
