How to track a keyword's ranking

Open a website's Rankings tab, click Add Keywords, and paste up to 500 keywords (one per line) to start tracking their Google position.

Rank tracking is available on Basic plan and above — it's not included on Free.

  1. Open a website and go to its Rankings tab.
  2. Click Add Keywords and paste your keywords, one per line (up to 500 per import), and pick a location.
  3. Submit — SearchVitals fetches an initial ranking within a couple of hours.

Your keyword slots are shared across all of your websites, not allocated per site — check your plan's limit (Basic: 100, Growth: 400, Pro: 600 keywords).

You can also add a keyword straight from Keyword Research: every result row has a Track link that sends it to the right website's Rankings tab (or asks you to pick a website first, if you have more than one).

To stop tracking a keyword, remove it from the Rankings tab — this also deletes its ranking history.
