Google Search Console is connected per website, not once for your whole account — this lets you use a different Google account for each site if you need to.
- Open the website and go to its setup page (or click Connect from the website's Edit page).
- Click Sign in with Google and approve access in the Google consent screen. SearchVitals only ever requests read-only access — it can never modify your Search Console data.
- Choose the verified property that matches your website (Domain or URL-prefix type) and confirm.
Once connected, SearchVitals uses this to unlock two audit checks that are otherwise locked: Index Coverage Ratio and Search Console Issues — both found under the audit's Crawl & Index and Performance tabs.
Free plan note: connecting and verifying via Search Console is required before a Free-plan site can be audited at all — this is how we confirm you actually own the site. Paid plans can skip this and audit any site.
