How to run your first website audit

Your first audit starts automatically once setup finishes. After that, use the Run Audit button any time you want a fresh crawl.

Your first audit starts automatically the moment your website's setup finishes (right after site discovery, and after you connect or skip Google Search Console). You don't need to click anything for that first run.

To run a new audit later — after making changes to your site, for example — open the website and click Run Audit. This is blocked if an audit is already running, or if you've hit your plan's monthly audit limit.

An audit runs two kinds of checks in parallel:

  • A full crawl of your site (robots.txt, sitemap, HTTP status, HTTPS, structured data, headings, images, JavaScript rendering, AI crawler access, and more — 28 checks in total).
  • Two Search Console checks (index coverage ratio and Search Console issues) — these only run if Google Search Console is connected; otherwise they're shown as Locked.

Most audits finish within a few minutes; larger sites can take longer. You can leave the page — it keeps running in the background, and the page automatically refreshes once results are ready.
